First-year

Guilford reviews applications holistically. In addition to academic achievements and rigor, first-year applicants are encouraged to thoroughly reflect on meaningful activities and extracurricular achievements in order to maximize their institutional scholarship potential. Guilford is also a test-optional institution. First-year students interested applying test-optional are encouraged to visit guilford.edu/admissions/high-school-students/apply for further details. First-year students are defined as those who have not attended a college or university after graduating from high school.

Transfer

At Guilford, transfer students who enter with an associate’s degree are automatically considered juniors. Students who have graduated high school, attended a college, and have obtained more than 24 credits do not need to submit their high school transcripts or test scores within their application. For more information, visit guilford.edu/admissions/transfer-students.
