Find out about requirements, fees, and deadlines

As a first year applicant, MCLA evaluates you for admission based on high school academic performance, strength of curriculum, and a personal essay in accordance with guidelines established by the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education (DHE).

MCLA welcomes students who choose to complete their bachelor's degree after attending a community college, as well as those who may have changed their plans and wish to transfer to MCLA from a four-year institution. If you have earned 12 or more transferable college-level credits at an accredited college or university, you should apply for admission as a transfer applicant.

Additional Information

We recognize that college is a major investment for students and their families. Through state, federal, and institutional programs, MCLA offers financial aid to students who qualify. When you complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) you automatically apply for a wide range of state, federal, and MCLA assistance, such as Pell Grants, Supplemental Education Opportunity Grants, MASS Grants, the College Work Study Program, Perkins Loans, and Federal Direct Student Loans. In addition, when you apply to MCLA, you automatically apply for scholarships for prospective students or transfer scholarships; there's no need to complete additional applications.
