Find out about requirements, fees, and deadlines
SUNY Oswego has two application options for First-Year Students, Early Action, and Regular Decision. To receive a non-binding Early Action decision in December, submit all materials by November 15th. Otherwise, Oswego offers Rolling Admission (though we encourage Regular Decision applicants to apply by March 1 to receive the fullest possible consideration for merit scholarships). A teacher or counselor evaluation is required, as is the high school transcript; please note that SUNY Oswego is SAT/ACT test-optional and we will consider self-reported scores if submitted on the Common App. We will Super Score any test results submitted.
If you have earned at least 12 credit hours at another college or university, following graduation from high school, we consider you a transfer student. Submit all official post-secondary transcripts, regardless of whether you earned credits. If you've completed fewer than 24 credit hours at the time of application, also submit your final high school transcript listing your graduation date. SUNY Oswego has excellent advising and other support systems, aiming to give transfer applicants maximum value for previously earned credits.
“All the amazing opportunities and extra curricular activities that are offered really helped me find my people and find so many of my passions. Oswego really gives students the opportunity to try anything and I think that's really important in discovering yourself.”
