You’re considered a first-year student for application purposes if you’re applying to WSU for the academic year immediately after graduating from high school or you have not attended any college courses since graduation.
Submit your application by the priority date of March 31 to be eligible for automatic awarding of university waivers.
To make sure you receive the highest possible amount of financial help, file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or WASFA (Washington Application for State Financial Aid for undocumented and other select applicants only).
Washington State University (WSU) does not accept Common App for Transfer students. Transfer Students inside and outside the United States may apply here.
Student are considered transfer students for admissions if they are currently enrolled or have completed coursework after the summer of their high school graduation.

Our Transfer Center has many tools, including a Transfer Credit Equivalency database to help you determine which of your classes will transfer to WSU. You can also use it to find out which courses you should be taking to meet your future WSU requirements.
